Check out this time lapse video I made with my iSight. I’m going to try to do some stop time animation too.

I went to a cool event last night where they screened a new indie movie called Out-Foxed about the Fox News Network. I never really watch Fox News and I knew they were partisan but holy shit this is outrageous. At one point in the film they show clip after clip of Fox “reporters” saying “207 days till Bush is re-elected” or some other way of saying the same thing. Oh, and Bill O’ Reilley is a tool. Talk about someone who is completely full of shit! I can’t believe people watch that and actually agree with that jackass! Well, I bought the DVD if anyone wants to borrow it.

This is a funny clip of what is going happen in the US with so much government information control.

“I’m sure you can afford it then, you just bought those tickets to hawaii. Those weren’t cheap eh?”

Recently Northwest Airlines provided the names, addresses, travel plans and credit card numbers of its customers to a NASA project in complete violation of its own privacy policy.  In another example, JetBlue provided information from over a million of its customers to the Transportation Security Administration, also in violation of its own privacy policy.

One of the leading developers of the MP3 technology is developing some cool new surround sound techniques that better simulate a real environment for more than the few people sitting in the middle of the theatre. Very cool.

The best existing surround sound speakers can approximate this only for a small “sweet spot,” perhaps a few feet wide, while the Iosono system would create the same realistic illusion for everyone in the room.

Microsuck is at it again. There’s nothing like running an update and having it kill your machine. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt.

On a side note, in case you missed it, Apple released new iPods. I was a little disappointed that they aren’t in different colors as rumored but the smaller size, better battery life, and lower price make up for it.

Ok, here’s almost exactly what I have except I have a bottle washer, a wort chiller, and a wine thief. So you could get this kit and be brewing the same day. I urge anyone whose looking for a hobby and likes beer (and the idea of making beer) to buy this kit and start brewing. I’d be glad to make some recommendations.

This has “bad idea” written all over it. It’s hard enough to control the selling of tangible goods. How do they plan on controlling this?

“Music bought through eBay will be downloaded and purchased through the seller’s site. To be approved to sell through the auctioneer, sellers have to show they have contractual permission to sell the listed music from the rights holder.”

There’s been a lot of controversy around gay marriage lately. It’s sad how our government wastes its time and our money on such nonsense. How does two people of the same gender being together, which they’re going to do whether they can marry or not, hurt America? The answer: It doesn’t. Let us go to the Daily Show for a few clips.

So I’ve been brewing my own beer since January and I thought I’d share the experience. I’m going to post each batch I’ve done but pre-date it so it’s on the actual brew date. I made a homebrew catagory so click on it to see the brew journal. So far the Nut Brown Ale and the Oatmeal Stout have been the best. I’m enjoying a Chinni Summer Ale as I write this. Higher in alcohol content then anything I’ve made, but pretty good nonetheless. It has a strong citris flavor (due to the lemon zest and juice used). I was going for a Sam or Harpoon Summer Ale. Try it while it’s in season. Good Stuff!

Kit
This is a standard ingredients kit. The cans are the Liquid Malt and the bags have hops in them.

Liquid Malt
This is the boiled water with the liquid malt added. It looks like a candy apple syrup I think.

Boil Dry Malt
This is the brew with the Dry Malt Extract added which is why you get the foaming.

Fermenter
This is the fermenter just after being added, still hot.

U.S. officials do not have specific knowledge about where, when or how such an attack would take place, but the CIA, FBI and other agencies “are actively working to gain that knowledge,”

Does anyone else find these warnings completely ridiculous? Can they possibly make us any more paranoid? Well, I’m going to be extra careful in Boston that week. I’m going to wear my camo pajamas and a helmet. I’ll run around saying “Have you seen my baseball?”

Alright, here’s the new joechinni.com. Not functionally much different, but I’m using WordPress now instead of MovableType. They moved to a pay based service so screw those hippies, it’s all a bunch of tree huggin’ hippy crap anyways, right?

So if you are reading this maybe you could post a comment so I know that people actually come to this f***ing website! Phew, sorry about that. If you haven’t seen Aqua Teen Hunger Force? It’s pretty funny in a weird wtf is going on sorta way. I’m going to try to write some music now, goodbye.

Is your son a hacker? Here’s 10 easy questions to ask yourself to find out. I especially like this one:

6. Does your son use Quake?

“If your son is using Quake, you should make him understand that this is not acceptable to you. You should ensure all the firearms in your house are carefully locked away, and have trigger locks installed. You should also bring your concerns to the attention of his school.”

Man, that’s a bit harsh for playing a game. How about making his ass go outside and play instead of letting him sit in front of a computer all day and night.
