Ingredients:
1 can Cooper’s Light LME
2 lbs Cooper’s Plain Light DME
.5 lb Caramel Crystal Malt
1.5 oz Kent Golding hop pellets (boil)
.5 oz Cascade hop pellets (finish)
.25 Irish Moss (clearing)
1 vial White Labs California Ale Yeast (WLP001)
Brough 2 gallons of water to boil with Crystal Malt (then removed) and added malt. Brought back to boil and added boiling hops. Boiled for 40 minutes and added wort chiller. Added finishing hops and irish moss for last 2 minutes. Added to 3 gallons of cold water and pitched yeast.
June 7th:
Bottled to 40 12oz bottles. This brew came out bad because of poor sanitization. I learned a valuable lesson about spending adequate time pre-bottling.
