This shit is absolutely hilarious. This website will charge you 5 bucks a month and have a computer say 3 prayers a day for you. How can a computer pray, you ask? Well, it uses text-to-speech to actually say them out loud.

I’m not really sure where to begin with this one. What happens if they forget to turn the volume up? What if it mispronounces your name, does someone else get your prayers? Are people really this stupid? This is proof that yes, yes they are.

I have to get this out. Spotlight, why do you suck so bad? Why did Apple treat you like their red-headed step child?

If you do a search for something in Spotlight why can’t you add different columns to the results? I have “Name”, “Kind”, and “Last Opened”. I can’t remember the last time I searched for something and wanted to know when I opened it last. At least they added the file path to the bottom of the results, though it’s still a pain in the ass to really see where something is if it’s nested in 20 folders.

For those of you with the same hatred may I suggest a couple alternatives.

Filespot – What Spotlight should be. I don’t like that it’s $20 though.

HoudahSpot – A free alternative, though not as streamlined.

1 in 5 Americans believe Sun revolves around the Earth

Fact: Polls show that in general, people who adhere to fundamentalist views are not well educated.
Those things go hand in hand.
He says that every time he goes on the radio to talk about his findings he gets people from the listening area sending him cards in the mail saying that they will pray for him.
So I take it even though they don’t understand what he is talking about when he refers to “DNA” they know that people that use big words like that are most likely going to hell.

Ray Comfort, author of God Doesn’t Believe in Atheists, alongside fellow Christian and actor Kirk Cameron (Growing Pains) will butt heads with two ardent nonbelievers using only scientific fact in a debate sponsored by ABC. Comfort says that the evidence will “absolutely” confirm that there is a God, and he will not speak about his faith.

Using only scientific fact, it says. This should be hilarious. (Yes, that says Kirk Cameron)

Just the notion they think they can prove there is a god is fucking retarded.

How will they prove it? 10 bucks says it involves peanut butter.

“These findings confirm what I have been saying these last five years. Since Atheist ethics are of a higher caliber than religious morals, it stands to reason that our families would be dedicated more to each other than to some invisible monitor in the sky. With Atheism, women and men are equally responsible for a healthy marriage. There is no room in Atheist ethics for the type of ’submissive’ nonsense preached by Baptists and other Christian and/or Jewish groups. Atheists reject, and rightly so, the primitive patriarchal attitudes so prevalent in many religions with respect to marriage.”

Kurt Vonnegut Interview

Great interview from 2003 with the late Kurt Vonnegut about the state of our country and the dipshits who run it.

What has allowed so many PPs (psychopathic personalities) to rise so high in corporations, and now in government, is that they are so decisive. Unlike normal people, they are never filled with doubts, for the simple reason that they cannot care what happens next. Simply can’t. Do this! Do that! Mobilize the reserves! Privatize the public schools! Attack Iraq! Cut health care! Tap everybody’s telephone! Cut taxes on the rich! Build a trillion-dollar missile shield! Fuck habeas corpus and the Sierra Club and In These Times, and kiss my ass!

My roommate and I were at this game last night. Lebron nails a 3/4 court shot which, incidentally, was what they needed to win the game.

Final score Cleveland 107, Celtics 104. Go CAVS!

Very good demonstration on how to wrap cables. Anyone who has ever setup a live sound situation knows that cable wrapping might seem like an easy thing but if you don’t wrap em right you end up with a huge mess.

So pay attention boys and girls. Oh and if you’re a Deathray that goes double for you.

Quite possibly one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. 10 foot lake + 14 inch drill bit + salt mine = unbelievable!

The torrent of water helped dredge Delcambre Canal so that it was two to four feet deeper. And of course, the three foot deep Lake Peigneur was now 1,300 feet deep!
